This week FamilySearch added 12 million new online records to its vast store of historic genealogical records. The 6.5 million indexed names and 5.6 million brows-able images come from Canada, England, Germany, Italy, Korea, Netherlands, Spain, and the U.S.

Mr Peter Abetz (LIB member for Southern River), Dr Antonio Buti (ALP member for Armadale), and Mr Bill Johnston (ALP member for Cannington) joined 700 Mormons at the Southern River Stake Conference in Perth, Western Australia, this month. Nambour members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints invited their friends to join them in the worth-while endeavour of a blood drive. Forty people turned up at the Red Cross Mobile unit on Saturday, 28 January.
The large semi-trailer parked on the basketball court of the Nambour meetinghouse, and donors lined up from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM.

In the Great Hall of Parliament House Canberra on 16 August, 2011, John and Lesley Bailey, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, were appointed Ambassadors for the Family for one year.
The appointment came from the Australian Family Association (AFA) and was done in conjunction with the Fourth National Marriage Day, "Don't Meddle with Marriage." The event drew 1500 attendees from all over Australia. ...
